Now it’s time to show the world your idea for a sustainable packaging solution!
You will be able to submit your work between Tuesday 18th May and Friday 18th June. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement and, if you choose, your work will be included in an online gallery showcasing our students' work. If you are aged 16-18, you will also be eligible to be considered for an opportunity to undertake mentoring with Morwen Mands, Head of Sustainability at Highland Spring Group. This opportunity will be offered to a student who submits an outstanding piece of work.
You will need to submit the following:
Your 2-3 sentence reflection on a bioplastic or plastic alternative example that you investigated (from Step 1)
Your 3-4 sentence reflection from Step 2 (where you collected packaging materials)
3 (or more) photos of your bioplastic making process (from Step 3)
Your concept sketch (from Step 4)
A brief (3-4 sentence) description of the concept behind your sketch that answers some of the following questions:
What problem does your design solve?
When/ how would someone use your design?
How will your design reduce plastic waste in future?
Bonus: Add images of a physical prototype of your concept using bioplastic to your submission. This additional step is not required, but if you made a physical object, we'd love to see it!
