Sustainable Ecosystem Designs

Joselyn McDonald

Instructions

In this section of the challenge, you'll review a series of examples or precedents of innovative sustainable ecosystems that can be installed in a home environment, including worm farms and others. You'll also look at some precedents of creative structures for natural systems, selected to inspire you to think broadly about the form your wormery design idea might take.  This is your precedent research, and it's an important first step in the design process.

PART A: Precedent Review

Review all the Sustainable Ecosystems Precedents and Creative Structures Precedents provided.  (You can also access these at any time using the tabs above.)

PART B: Activity (to be included in your final submission)

Select one precedent and research the design project further using the web link provided in the post. Write 2-3 sentences about what you learned about the precedent you explored. What approach did they take with their design? Why did you think it was interesting? You'll be submitting these sentences at the end of the challenge, so keep them handy!
