Now, it’s time to share your proposal for a monument that reveals a previously untold story about the identity, values, culture, and history of your community!
Submit your work between Tuesday 18th May and Friday 18th June, and you will receive a Certificate of Achievement. We will be showcasing entries in an online gallery - you will have the option for your work to be included if you wish. If you are aged 16-18, you are also eligible to be considered for an exciting opportunity. A student who submits an outstanding piece of work will have the chance to undertake work experience or mentoring at award-winning architectural practice Page\ Park.
Share the following:
- Your 2-3 sentence reflection from Step 1: What is a Monument? (where you delved into a provided example)
- Your 3-4 sentence debate response about the Henry Dundas statue
- A picture of a sketch that represents your idea for a new monument for your community
- A 3-4 sentence description of your idea for a new monument for your community
Bonus: If you want to create a physical model of your new monument concept, we encourage you to do so and send us a picture of it! (This step is not required to participate in the FIDA Challenge.)
